Goodbye Randy!

By Randy Heisley-Cato

In June of 2004, I heard about a position at Camp Hebron.  At the time, we were moving to Harrisburg from Newville, PA, for my wife’s job. Until then we had been living on site at Mount Asbury Camp and Retreat Center, where I had worked for almost 15 years. Shortly after moving I applied for a part-time Maintenance position that was open at Camp Hebron. Now almost 12 years later, I’m retiring at the end of May.

I was happy to find a job at Camp Hebron because I wanted to continue working in Christian Camp and Retreat Ministry. It has been such a blessing to serve our guests, alongside the rest of the staff, my brothers and sisters in Christ. A big part of my job over the years has been the set-up of the facilities in preparation for our guest groups. This has been sprinkled with a dash (or more) of repairs. Of course,  I have learned much and have had good times during the hard work. I do believe in the ministry of Camp Hebron and have been glad to be a small part of it. “Thanks, Dan Sheeler,” for hiring me those many years ago.

Thanks Randy for your hard work over the past 11 years. We're sure going to miss you!
