Whether you're coming to run, rest or retreat, we have activities for you. Enjoy our pool, lake, gym, hiking trails and much, much more.
Camp Hebron's Olympic size swimming pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Features include a 12 foot deep diving well, 3' to 6' swimming area and a small, separate, baby pool. There are ample chairs on the lawn for relaxing in the sun, as well as adjacent tennis and volleyball courts. The pool is included for Camp Hebron's overnight retreat guests.
A five acre man-made lake provides opportunity for boating, fishing and enjoying a beautiful natural habitat. During designated hours guests may enjoy paddleboats, canoes and kayaks. Fishing is permitted in the lake and in nearby Powell's Creek. A Pennsylvania fishing license may be required in accordance with state law.
If you love horses, Meadowview Stables is the place to be! We have lots of great horse activities for riders of all ages. Camp Hebron is a CHA accredited facility and abides by Certified Horsemanship Association standards of safety and horse care. We offer a variety of horse activities including private or group lessons, trail rides, hand led rides and more!
The Challenge Course is a combination of a 5 element static course roughly 40’ in the air and team-building initiatives designed to help your group meet its goals. The course includes an exciting zip-line ride to finish. We also have a “dangle-duo” element which is a challenging element for two people to ascend by working together.
Located in the Hemlock Gym, the climbing wall is designed to create an experience where people can develop confidence and experience encouragement through an exciting challenge. The climbing wall is a vertical wooden wall of varying angles with synthetic rock holds to simulate a natural rock-climbing surface. By attaching climbing holds of various sizes and shapes to the wall, we can vary the climbs, making each route unique and varied in the level of challenge.
The Hemlock Center is a gym that provides an indoor recreational space for inclement weather. It consists of a full size gym with rubber floors. Lines are provided for volleyball and basketball. The gym is typically open for overnight retreat groups in the evening.
Tractor-drawn wagon rides can be arranged (at least two weeks in advance) either for overnight guests or day groups. Contact our reservationist for details and pricing. Ask about our wagon ride package including a camp fire, snack, and a drink.
Two full size tennis courts are located just above the pool area. They are illuminated by a coin operated timer for after dark play.
There are many options for volleyball at Camp Hebron. Permanent outdoor courts are located at Sylvan View, Breezewood and the Mountain View Campground. The sand court located next to the pool gives the feel of beach volleyball, and the campground court is sand as well. Camp Hebron has additional nets that can be set up for tournaments. The Hemlock Center has two full volleyball courts.
Miles of trails criss-cross Hebron's 340 acres. Enjoy a leisurely circuit around the lake or through the Prayer Labyrinth. You can trek up Peter's Mountain to see the view from Table Rock or hike a section of the Appalachian Trail.
We have two softball diamonds, one sand and one grass, and field space for football, frisbee, or soccer. We also have two horseshoe pits. You could also bring all the lawn games you can fit in your car. There is plenty of space for it all.
Our 18 hole frisbee golf course starts at Sylvan View Retreat Center, complete with scorecards and frisbees (feel free to bring your own discs).
Sylvan View Rec. Room includes ping pong tables, shuffleboard, foosball table, board games, carpetball and a play house for children. Breezewood's Rec. Room includes ping pong tables, pool table, foosball table and carpetball.
