Summer Launch

I’m going to camp!

We can’t wait to see you this summer!

Theme Verse

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
— James 1:2-4

Summer 2025: Even If

Test your knowledge! Try our trivia challenge about the books of Daniel and Philippians?

  • Daniel is the main character in the book of Daniel in the Old Testament. He was a Jewish person, from the nation of Judah, which split from the nation of Israel. This is the same people group that Jesus was born into in the New Testament.

During Daniel’s lifetime, the nation of Judah was taken into captivity by the Babylonians. Daniel spent 70 years in a foreign nation, remaining faithful to God even though his faith was tested.

  • Daniel and the Lions Den is found in Daniel 6.

The story of Daniel’s three friends and the Fiery Furnace is found in Daniel 3.

We’ll learn more about both of these stories this summer!

  • Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego

We know them most commonly by their Babylonian names. Did you know, the Bible also tells us their Hebrew names? Their Hebrew names are Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.

  • King Nebuchadnezzar had several important dreams throughout the book of Daniel.

With God’s help, Daniel shares the meaning of the king’s dream.

  • The apostle Paul, one of the first followers of Jesus, wrote Philippians. It was a letter written to the church at Philippi to encourage them in their faith. You can read more about Paul’s life in the book of Acts.

  • “through Christ who gives me strength.”

This verse is found towards the end of Paul’s letter. He continually encourages the Philippians to persevere in their faith.

  • Paul was imprisoned in Rome.

Despite his situation, Paul demonstrated his faith in Jesus and sought to encourage his readers.
