Earth Explorers & Earth Keepers
Exploring the beauty of Creation.
Earth Explorers (3rd–5th) and Earth Keepers (6th–8th) invite campers to explore God’s creation through hands-on outdoor education and skill-building activities. Campers will engage in age-appropriate experiences like stream studies, garden care, animal interactions, and cooking over the fire, while learning about creation care and sustainability through experiments and crafts. Both programs also include classic Camp Hebron favorites like archery, swimming, crafts, and horseback riding, giving every camper a week full of discovery, fun, and growth.

Stream Study
Campers will participate in an exploration of our creek, looking for macroinvertebrates as well as fish, salamanders, tadpoles, and other important species. They will have the opportunity to catch critters with nets and learn more about water quality and important aquatic ecosystems through fun games and guided time in the creek.
-

Animal Interaction
A favorite activity for all, campers will learn about animal care and husbandry through hands-on experiences with the goats, chickens, sheep, and horses. They will also gain experience in looking for wild creatures such as frogs, toads, salamanders, and insects.
-

Campfire Cooking
Campers will learn basic culinary skills as they cook a meal over the fire together. Fire starting basics, as well as lessons in fire safety and wilderness survival techniques, will build skills while campers experience the beauty of living simply outdoors.

Nature Hikes
A classic camp activity, nature hikes provide natural opportunities for child-led exploration and play, while increasing curiosity about Creation. These hikes are rich with plant identification, flipping rocks and logs to search for insects, and observing colors, shapes, textures, and sizes of things discovered in the natural world.
