Horse Camps

Our summer horse camps provide youth with a great outdoor setting, fun activities, Christian teaching, and specialized horsemanship training. Daily ground lessons and Western or English riding lessons are supervised and taught by Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) riding instructors. Trail riding, additional horsemanship experiences and traditional camp activities add to the excitement.

Participants must have previous summer camp or volunteer experience at Camp Hebron's Meadowview Stables, and are required to complete an additional week of internship to apply the skills learned.

WHAT DO THE CAMPERS GET TO DO?

Here are some potential activities (besides riding horses) during the week:

  • Camp Fire and Silly Songs or S'Mores
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Hiking Peter's Mountain
  • Field Games
  • Creek Stomps
  • Pool Parties
  • Climbing Wall
  • Water Games at the Lake
  • Talent Shows
  • Archery or Slingshot
  • And much more...

HOW BIG IS A Shelter?

Your child will get to stay in their own shelter with their own counselor. Shelters get a chance to bond closely together during their own activities, but they also get to participate in camp wide activities too.

We keep the shelter size at around 8 campers to each counselor to ensure your child gets the attention they deserve.
