Guidelines for Rental Guests |
 |
We trust that you will find your stay relaxing, enjoyable, and full of spiritual growth. The following guidelines are designed to maintain a safe and relaxing environment for all our guests. Please be respectful of others and treat them as you would like to be treated. We require that all guests honor biblical standards of conduct both in public and in private. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from advocating, condoning or practicing of sexual immorality, obscenity, the use of illegal drugs, alcohol, firearms, or explosives. We reserve the right to expel guest if they violate these conditions or for any other unacceptable conduct.
Emergency
All guests are assigned a host upon check-in. Guests should contact the group leader if there are any problems or concerns. Individuals will be given the host contact person's name and phone number at registration. The host contact information is also posted on the bulletin board in front of the office. Camp Hebron assumes no responsibility to offer medical care for rental guests. Basic first-aid or CPR may be offered pending the availability of a qualified individual. In the event of a medical emergency, 911 emergency services will be called. Please inform the host immediately if medical services have been called so that we may assist in directing emergency personnel to the building.
Meals Meals are typically served buffet-style at 8 am, noon, and 5:30 pm. Meals are started promptly with a prayer of thanksgiving. Dress is modest (shoes are required). Guests should refrain from entering the kitchen area.
Quiet Time
Quiet time is to be observed between 11 pm and 7 am.
Vehicles
Please park cars upon arrival and use only when necessary to leave the grounds. Passengers may not ride on the outside of automobiles, on tailgates, with open van doors, or in the back of open pickup trucks unless seated on the floor of the truck.
Pets Guests are not permitted to have pets on camp.
Nature and Wildlife
Respect the wildlife. Remember that woodland animals are untamed and can be dangerous. Do not feed the animals. Do not pick plants or flowers, carve wood, or remove twigs and leaves from trees.
The natural environment may present other hazards. Guests are asked to wear proper footwear and use appropriate caution when walking trails and enjoying nature.
Fires Fires must be supervised by adults and built only in designated areas. Please extinguish fire completely after use. In dry seasons fires may be restricted or prohibited.
Smoking
Smoking is discouraged at Camp Hebron. All buildings, including the campground bathhouse, the pool area, lake deck, nature center, and the barn are smoke free. Cigarette butts are considered litter and should be disposed of safely in trash receptacles.
Towels If staying in Sylvan View or Hillside Villa, extra towels are available upon request. Ask the host for additional towels. Camp towels are not intended for use at the pool. Please bring beach towels for use at the lake and pool.
Check In/Check Out Normal check in time is 5 pm and check out time is 11 am. Camp Hebron reserves the right to modify this based on usage of facilities.
Radios, TVs, and Videos
We suggest that guests take a break from the radio, TV, and video games while at camp. Guests choosing to use them are asked to keep the volume low or use headphones.
Children We are concerned for the safety of all children and ask that parents maintain responsibility for supervising their children at all times.
Walking For your safety, avoid walking on Camp Hebron Road. Ask for a trail map for alternate routes around camp.
Modest Attire Use modesty in attire and behavior at all times while on camp. Men are required to wear a shirt at all times, except at the pool. Females are to refrain from wearing a two-piece bathing suit, belly shirt, short shorts, or revealing clothing.
Lost & Found Gather all belongings when leaving. Items left will be kept in the office for 30 days. Unclaimed items will be sold or contributed in a manor that supports Camp Hebron or a sister ministry.
Please...
- Keep doors and windows closed when heat or air conditioners are on and turn off fans and lights when leaving rooms.
- We request that food or beverages in rooms be kept to a minimum. Please return all camp dishes to the dining room when finished with them. Please use care not to leave crumbs or portions of uneaten food lying around. This contributes to ant and rodent issues. In cabins and shelters, it can also attract wildlife.
- Keep camp blankets/linens (including towels) in the rooms.
