General Program Information
Cabin Camps
During our traditional, week long summer kids' camps that we call cabin camps, campers may enjoy activities such as swimming, hikes, lake/boating, horse rides, crafts, gift shop, snack shack, creek hikes, drama, archery, sling shot range, games and more while building lasting relationships. Each cabin is supervised by a trained counselor who will help camp come alive with exciting and meaningful activities for campers of all ages. A typical day will include morning devotions, Bible study, singing, 3 great meals and periodic snacks. Evenings include a message by a camp pastor and large group activities. Cabins are equipped with electricity and bathrooms. A program is given for parents and guests on Friday evenings when campers are picked up for the trip home. A group photo and DVD containing highlights of the week will be given to each camper at the end of the week. More information on Cabin Camps.
Shelter Camp
Shelter Camp is a more rustic experience than Cabin Camp with lodging in screened in shelters. Campers walk a short distance to the bathhouse for restrooms and showers. Meals are nearby at Breezewood Lodge. There are up to 11 campers per shelter with a live-in staff member. In addition to the special emphasis (horse camp, rock climbing, etc.), activities may include swimming, hikes, lake/boating, horse rides, crafts, gift shop, snack shack, archery, sling shot range, games and more. A Friday night program for parents/guests concludes a great camp week. A group photo and DVD containing highlights of the week will be given to each camper at the end of the week. More information on Adventure Camps or Horse Camps.
Horsemanship Camp
Horsemanship camps give youth and adults the great outdoor setting, fun activities, and Christian challenge and teaching, but specialize in training in horsemanship skills. Daily ground lessons and Western or English riding lessons are supervised and taught by Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) certified riding instructors. Camps are organized by skill level and previous riding experience. Trail riding and additional horsemanship experiences add to the excitement. Horsemanship campers in our week-long programs may pursue riding skills certification through CHA, and will receive a special t-shirt, manual, and camp photo. A helmet is supplied for use during riding. If you bring your own helmet, it must be a certified ASTM/SEI F-1163 approved equestrian helmet. Wrangler-In-Training is a special program for persons ages 14-17 who are interested in assisting with teaching lessons, guiding trail rides and horse and stable management. Persons in this program must have previous summer camp or volunteer experience at Camp Hebron's Meadowview Stables. They will be required to complete an additional week of internship to apply the skills learned. More information on Horse Camps.
Family and Moms & Tots Camps
A family vacation that is fun, relaxing and affordable with options to grow together as a family and to grow spiritually. You can keep busy or just take the time to relax. Morning activities and Bible lessons for children of all ages led by camp counselors and adult teaching times led by a camp pastor. Afternoon options of swimming, boating, horseback rides, tennis, volleyball, softball, canoe trips, hikes, or just relaxing. Evenings regularly include theme parties, games and vespers for the whole family. An atmosphere of Christian fellowship and friendship pervades all activities. These family camps are designed to provide a time of rest, relaxation, recreation, and spiritual growth for the family. Families lodge together or in adjacent rooms, cabins, or the campground (depending on which week you choose to attend), and camp takes care of all the cooking and cleaning. Use of camp facilities, daily games/activities, daily worship and Bible study, child care, and special activities are just some of the things that fill the day. All Family Camps provide lodging in motel-style, air-conditioned Sylvan View Retreat Center. Linens are also provided. Family Camp I has the option of being housed in our Breezewood Cabins. Family Camps II, III, IV and V offer a Campground option. More information on Family Camps.

Wilderness/Adventure Trips
We have a wide variety of weekend and week-long whitewater rafting, canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing and backpacking trips and adventures for youth, adults, and parent/child combinations. Many of these trips have minimum age restrictions, but only a few require previous experience. Trained adult guides lead each and every trip. These camps have a limited number of spaces available, so early registration is advised. Good health and conditioning are prerequisites for adventure trips. Most trips use tent camping for overnight lodging (we provide tents). A gear list will be provided upon registration. Some additional items may need to be purchased or borrowed. Adventure Camps.
