A family vacation that is fun, relaxing and affordable with options to grow together as a family and to grow spiritually. Keep busy or just take the time to relax. Morning activities and Bible lessons for children of all ages led by camp counselors and adult teaching times led by a camp pastor. Afternoon options of swimming, boating, horseback rides, tennis, volleyball, softball, canoe trips, hikes, or just relaxing. Evenings regularly include theme parties, games and vespers for the whole family. An atmosphere of Christian fellowship and friendship pervades all activities. These family camps are designed to provide a time of rest, relaxation, recreation, and spiritual growth for the family. Families lodge together or in adjacent rooms, cabins, or the campground (depending on which week you choose to attend), and camp takes care of all the cooking and cleaning. Use of camp facilities, daily games/activities, daily worship and Bible study, child care, and special activities are just some of the things that fill the day. All Family Camps provide lodging in motel-style, air-conditioned Sylvan View Retreat Center where linens are provided. Family Camp I has the option of being housed in our Breezewood Cabins. Family Camps II, III, IV, and V offer a Campground option. Family Camp Registration PolicyDue to the high number of advance registrations for our various family-based camps, we are using the following guidelines for future registration for all camps listed under Family Camps. Campers currently registered may register for the following year's Family Camp during their current Family Camp week. All other registrants may register for the following year's Family Camps on the first Monday following last day of the specific camp for which they are registering. If the week you have chosen is full, you may request that your name be placed on a waiting list and we will contact you when your name gets to the top of the list. Please call (717-896-3441 or 800-864-7747) to confirm the facility you wish to stay in is available before registering. A $100 nonrefundable, nontransferable deposit per room is required at the time of registration. One half of remaining total is due by February 1. The balance is due by April 1. Registrations for Family Camps or Moms-n-Tots are NON-REFUNDABLE except in the case of a documented Medical Emergency. A printable registration form is available for your convenience. Lodging in Sylvan View. A week of fellowship and special activities just for moms with young children ages newborn to 6. Daily child care and kids' activities are provided during moms' worship/teaching time. Two camps, same schedule, different weeks to choose from. Cabin camps for children ages 6-9 run concurrently with Moms & Tots I. Camper comments: "I was so blessed by this experience and I know my children were as well." Family Camp Pastor: Fred Miller Topic: The Love of God – Understanding It and Living In It. Speaker Bio: Fred Miller is senior pastor at Cumberland Valley Brethren in Christ Church in Dillsburg, PA. He and his wife, Cathy, have three married children and 7 grandchildren. Fred's interests are reading, coaching lacrosse, watching and evaluating movies, and handyman work. Cathy teaches photo organizing and scrapbooking and loves being a spiritual mentor to moms and children. Fred is looking forward to speaking and having redemptive conversations with you about life and God!

Family Camp Pastor: John & Cindy King Bio: John has been the young adult pastor at Mechanicsburg Brethren in Christ Church since 2003. He has also been an adjunct professor in the Psychology Department of Messiah College, although currently his pursuit of a Ph.D. at Regent University keeps him busy enough. Growing up in a musical family, John plays several instruments and is always trying to learn new ones. ![]() Special Features: Partnering with Bethany Christian’s Post-adoption Services, Adoption topic discussions for parents, time to work on Family Lifebooks, BCS Staff on site for conversations. Elaine Shenk will be our resource from BCS.
